Welcome to Udda Äventyr

We operate in Norrbotten in northern Sweden far up in the forests around Älvsbyn (WGS84 decimal (lat, lon) 65.76181, 20.943224) and in the mountains of Kvikkjokk (WGS84 decimal (lat, lon) 66.948036, 17.741558).

Udda Äventyr has since 1989 been seeking the adventure. We are convinced that all people have a need to stretch themselves — extend slightly outside the daily grind and see what’s there. We are a group of people who love nature and challenge ourselves to constantly discover new things, in tune with life in the natural environment that is close to us, but which are not part of everyone’s daily life. We do it by horseback riding, hunting, and heli-skiing. We show you the nature around Älvsbyn, with its varied forests, swamps, lakes and ponds. We will tell you about the fauna and flora typical of the area. For this, we have a unique herd of horses, the long hunting experience and knowledge of the nature surrounding Kvikkjokk where we offer heli-skiing at the highest level.

Today we have 20 Guest horses, all western-trained and fully equipped with quality saddles, saddle horn bags and bedrolls. We have hats, long oil coats and chaps for our guests. Our trips range from day trips all the way up to twelve days. To ride with us, you don’t need to have previous riding experience as long as you are prepared to embark on adventures in the forest on horseback. Welcome to a guided adventure in the northen Sweden! Swedish Lapland!

South of Sarek you find the Tarrakaisemassif. Peaks in the area are between 1350 and 1850 m above sea level. Here Udda Äventyr has chosen to put our helicamp. This area on the border of Sarek National Park, is known to have good snow conditions. The mountains we fly to always gives us good skiing. All in all, with carefully selected accommodation in Årrenjarka Fjällby, we get the optimal ”helilodge-feeling” in the Alpine environment.

The Tarrakaisemassif consists of several peaks with Biernakaise as the highest peak at 1828 meters above sea level. On the north side of the Massif, there are an unlimited number of lines. Here you can find everything from easy slops to the bowles with really advanced, steep lines. You will have slops differing from 25 to 45 degrees with great drip ledges and ravines, shaped like natural hafpipes, with up to 7 km long ride. On the South side is the steepest lines, big wide canyons and long narrow tricky ride. (Of course we put in breaks in the races) We have 75 named runs plus just as many not yet baptized. We go on our Heliskii trips late april and early May.
